Austin Butler took home the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for his work as the King of Rock and Roll in Baz Luhrman’s Elvis on Tuesday night.
Unfortunately for Butler, though, most of the pop culture world didn’t seem to care as they were focused on something else entirely: the fact that Butler *still* seems to be talking like Elvis despite the fact that he finished making the movie months, if not years ago.
I know people are going to be mad about Austin Butler beating Brendan Fraser but I think the guy who Acted so hard he now permanently talks like Elvis probably deserves a trophy

The memes have gotten so out of hand that Butler even addressed the accusations that he’s still talking like Elvis while speaking to the press after the ceremony:

In addition to Butler as Elvis, the film stars Tom Hanks, Olivia DeJonge, Helen Thomson, Richard Roxburgh, David Wenham, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Luke Bracey. Elvis is currently streaming over on HBO Max.
As for the other winners at the Golden Globes, Cate Blanchett won for Best Actress in a Drama Film, while Michelle Yeoh and Colin Farrell won in the comedy categories. Best Picture – Drama was awarded to Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans while Best Picture – Comedy/Musical went to The Banshees of Inisherin.

In addition to Dune: Part Two, 2023 will also see Butler star alongside Tom Hardy, Micheal Shannon, and Jodie Comer in Jeff Nichols’ The Bikeriders.
