‘Gotta Be Like $100,000 To $150,000 Worth Of Product’: Truck Driver Goes To Grocery Store Loading Bay. Then He Spots A Worker’s Last Act Of Revenge Before Quitting

One disgruntled worker apparently played out their revenge fantasy before quitting. And a truck driver caught the aftermath on camera.

In a TikTok with 153,900 views, Ito (@jvdtransport) says, “[This is what] happens when you have a disgruntled worker.”

He then shows viewers what he means, moving closer to a cluster of large watermelon boxes and shopping carts filled to the brim with frozen food.

He says all the food was fresh. But he says somebody “had enough of work” and turned off the freezer. He estimates that the discarded products are worth $100,000 to $150,000.

‘I Bet It Was For A Good Reason’

In the comments section, many sided with the worker, speculating that they had been underpaid and mistreated. Several also criticized the store for throwing away the food instead of dumping it.

One wrote, “I BET THAT WORKER WAS GETTING RIPPED OFF OF MONEY !!!!!!!! GOOD FOR HIM !!!!!!”

A second guessed, “That worker most likely kept getting scheduled by himself and everytime he brings up that it’s not fair, management probably says ‘well if so and so can do it so should you’.”

“That could’ve went to a food bank smh,” another said.

This Isn’t The First Viral Worker Revenge Story

In 2023, after a Popeyes worker got fired for filming on the job, she exposed her location by recording the roach infestation and posting it online.

Additionally, a former Walmart employee said he got revenge after being fired with no notice by making a mess in the aisles. However, he admitted in a follow-up that it was a joke, and he cleaned up his mess, likely out of courtesy to former co-workers who had not spurned him.

What’s Going To Happen With All That Food?

Most likely, the frozen food in the video will end up in a landfill. However, dumpster divers may discover the soon-to-be-discarded food before this happens.

Indeed, the scene in the clip is reminiscent of one in another viral video in which a woman dumpster dives outside her local Target after a storm knocked out power to the freezers. She said the food was still cold and loaded up her trunk with items from brands like Healthy Choice, Lean Cuisine, Stouffer’s, Eggo, and Toaster Strudel.

However, those of you tempted to go dumpster diving should know there are risks involved.

Dumpster diving may expose you to the following safety and health hazards:

  • Bacteria
  • Viruses
  • Harmful chemicals
  • Physical injuries, such as cuts, from objects in the dumpster
  • Encounters with rats, raccoons, and insects

Additionally, dumpster diving is considered trespassing in some areas. And taking something from a dumpster could be considered theft. If these laws apply in your area, you could face fines or arrest if caught.
