The country is very familiar with Florida Man. He is infamous for his brushes with the law over things like trying to get drunk with an alligator, bringing a sword to a wheelbarrow fight, driving his golf cart into a Walmart and running over people, and covering his girlfriend’s car with dirt using an end loader when she wouldn’t answer his question.
People are also aware of Florida Woman for her escapades which include, among other things, slipping out of handcuffs, climbing into the front seat, and driving off in cop car.
But Florida Dog? Is that a thing now? Because, well, Florida, apparently it is.

A dog in Florida was alone in a car in Port St. Lucie when it put the vehicle into reverse, did some reverse donuts for nearly an hour, and smashed into a mailbox, a trash can, and some bricks.
According to WPTV…
Neighbors say the dog did not seem to mind at all.
“I figured ‘how the heck did they manage to do that?’” said neighbor Anna Sabol.
Sabol said she looked out her window Thursday morning and a police car grabbed her attention.
“Then I saw another cop car and another cop car…” Sabol laughed.
She realized they were all responding to a grey sedan spinning in reverse in a cul-de-sac. The one occupant inside was a Black Labrador.
Police reported that the owner of the car had left the car running as they briefly stepped out when the dog put it in reverse and drove off with the doors locked. Officers were eventually able to stop the car after entering a passcode into the driver’s side door lock.
“He was doing pretty good until he hit the mailbox. He went around for about an hour without hitting anything at all,” Sabol said. “I saw the dog jump out of the car, wagging his tail. I was like ‘Okay, good driving!’”
Of course, there is video. Why would you even ask such a thing?
