Obviously, everyone is glad that Marvel Cinematic Universe star Jeremy Renner is alright following his scary snowplow incident earlier this year. Still, that hasn’t stopped pop culture fans are cracking some jokes at his expense over an upcoming interview special that’s set to air on Disney+.
Titled Jeremy Renner: A Story of Terror, Survival, and Triumph, the 52-year-old Hawkeye actor will sit down with Diane Sawyer for an interview special that many people believe seems like it’s something straight out of Prime Video superhero satire comedy The Boys.
Disney turning into Vought, a fictional company made specifically as a parody of themselves, is so goddamn funny https://t.co/Ioa4iIi5wN

As the release of the interview special nears, details from Renner’s discussion are beginning to leak out, such as this anecdote he told about writing a goodbye letter to his family on his Notes app despite being in critical condition with more than 30 broken bones, according to Variety:
Expecting death at the hospital, Renner prepped to say goodbye to his loved ones. “I’m writing down notes in my phone to — last words to my family,” Renner said as he held back tears.
As mentioned above, Jeremy Renner: A Story of Terror, Survival, and Triumph will premiere on Disney+ on Friday, April 7.
Renner can most recently be seen starring in season two of the Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingstown, which debuted last fall. Other than an upcoming Disney+ documentary miniseries titled Rennervations (yes, seriously — it appears to be a home improvement type of show on a bit of a bigger scale), Renner isn’t currently attached to any projects, whether that be film or television.
Given his connections to the character of Black Widow (Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova) in the MCU, the Marvel project that he’s most likely to pop up in next is probably the 2024 film Thunderbolts, which is set to feature some of the franchise’s anti-heroes, such as the aforementioned Black Widow, Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, David Harbour’s Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell’s U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster, and more.
