As Kanye West once let us all know on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, he’s had one hell of a life, and unlike many of other rappers who have a penchant for making outlandish claims, he has the evidence to back up his braggadocio.

After making a name for himself in Chicago thanks to his beat-making prowess, he linked up with Jay Z before almost losing everything in a car crash that would ultimately help put him on the map as far as rapping is concerned and would go on to create a number of classic records before bursting onto the fashion scene and ultimately finding himself married to Kim Kardashian.

Hell of a life indeed.

Over the years, the world has been treated to a few biopics chronicling the rise and fall of rappers including the Notorious B.I.G and the N.W.A. crew (I’d also be remiss if I didn’t mention Cam’ron’s semi-autobiographical movie where he spits on a kid for some reason).

Given Kanye’s wild ride through life, he seems like a prime candidate for a movie based on it and it appears he’s already given some thought to who he’d like to play him and I guarantee you never would have guessed who it is if you hadn’t read the headline that brought you here.

Earlier this week, Danny McBride chatted with Jimmy Kimmel while promoting his upcoming HBO series The Righteous Gemstones, which looks like it’s going to be a pretty damn fun time.

During their conversation, McBride revealed Kanye unexpectedly called him before flying to the actor’s home in South Carolina (the story starts at the 4:48 mark in the following video).

According to McBride, the two hopped on a boat and traveled off the coast of Charleston, where West hit the actor with what he described as a “pretty brilliant idea” concerning a biopic where he’d step into Kanye’s shoes.

Is there a chance this will ever actually materialize? Probably not. But now that I know it’s in the realm of possibility, I’ve never wanted anything more.
