As the days get progressively shorter and colder and seasonal depression begins to set in, it can be tough to fight the urge to sequester yourself inside your home and watch Love Actually for the third time this month.
In an ideal world, I’d have a fireplace to huddle next to for warmth. Unfortunately, I’ve yet to find a reasonably priced apartment in New York City with a functioning hearth.
Until that day comes, I’m forced to rely on virtual yule logs to get my fix and use heavily spiked holiday beverages to generate the warmth I desperately crave.
Netflix has yet to figure out a way to pump the smell of burning wood through television set, so if you’re lucky enough to have an actual fireplace, I suggest you follow the sage advice of Billy Madison.
A couple of years before that, Ian Malcolm doled out an equally valuable life lesson in Jurassic Park when he stressed the dangers of doing something simply because you can instead of pausing to ask yourself if you should.
However, it appears nobody at KFC got that message based on its newest offering: a log that smells like fried chicken when it burns.
Introducing the 11 Herbs & Spices Firelog from Enviro-Log®, the best way to make a fire smell less like fire and more like fried chicken. Get yours today at https://t.co/u2baCmHQYF. pic.twitter.com/y4TRf4cqQs

The chain teamed up with Enviro-Log to address a problem nobody knew existed until now to create the KFC 11 Herbs & Spices Firelog, which is made with 100% recyclable materials engineered to make your home smell like its signature product for up to five hours.
If that happens to sound appealing to you for some reason, you can pick up your very own log for less than $20.
