Earlier this week, it was reported that The Naked Gun co-stars Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson are in a romantic relationship. The pair certainly haven’t waited to confirm it, either, as they’ve often been spotted arm-in-arm during the promotional tour
While filming a video for the movie rating and reviewing social media platform Letterboxd, Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson were asked to name their top four favorite funny movies of all-time.
After Anderson named Steve Martin’s The Jerk or anything with Lily Tomlin, and Neeson mentioned the Peter Sellers Pink Panther movie, the legendary Schindler’s List and Taken star named the Robin Williams vehicle Mrs. Doubtfire as his fourth before sharing an anecdote about time he spent with the late comedian and Oscar-winning actor.
“Mrs. Doubtfire springs to mind. And the outtakes were extraordinary too. And they are part of the movie, too, actually in the credits,” Neeson said with his arm wrapped around Anderson.
“I once shared a taxi with Robin and a few other actors dAnd he started rapping on some politician. And I remember thinking this is maybe what Shakespeare would have been like. Just this incredible stuff pouring out of his brain and his mouth. He was a genius.”
Neeson’s sentiment about Williams is certainly something we’ve heard from various actors and comedians over the years, as they’ve virtually all marveled at Williams’ unique genius — a genius that they struggled to even comprehend.
The Naked Gun, which hits theaters Friday, August 1, debuted to a 100% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes and is being called the American best comedy film of the decade so far.
In addition to Neeson and Anderson, The Naked Gun — directed by Akiva Schaffer of the acclaimed comedy group The Lonely Island — also stars Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, and Danny Huston. You can check out the official trailer for The Naked Gun below.
