Despite the fact that fans of the hit TV series Friends are very excited to see the gang get back together for their upcoming reunion show on HBO Max, one of the stars, Matthew Perry, has had nothing but trouble this month.
In the beginning of May, a woman uploaded a cringe-inducing video to TikTok which showed Perry flirting with her after matching on dating app. She was 19 at the time. He was 50.
Last week, Perry made fans of Friends very concerned about his health and well-being after the reunion special dropped a teaser trailer.
In the trailer, the actor appeared to stare blankly off into space and be laboring and slurring his words at times when he spoke.
On Monday, Perry was once again the subject of controversy when he posted a tweet showing himself wearing a t-shirt with the line “Could I BE Any More Vaccinated?” printed on it.
“Get your shot and then get your shirt. Shop the entire collection at http://represent.com/matthewperry Only available for a limited time,” Perry wrote alongside the photo.
If you’re thinking, “Why does Matthew Perry have a merch shop?” and/or “Doesn’t he already have enough money?” and/or “Really? He’s making money off the pandemic?” then you are far from alone.
According to a 2019 report, the cast of Friends is still making $20 million a year 15 years after the show came to an end.
So, no, Matthew Perry certainly shouldn’t need any money. As for why he has a merch shop? Especially one that is selling COVID-related merchandise? No idea. But that was just one of the many questions people on social media had for the man who played Chandler Bing.
Why would I give a multi millionaire even more money?

“Could this BE anymore of a turn off?” one person wrote on Instagram.
“Making money off of a vaccine that’s killing people. How celebrity of you,” commented another.
They, however, were overwhelmed and shouted down by hundreds of diehard Friends followers who would literally buy anything Matthew Perry offered to sell them.
Just take my money, sir!

Quick aside: he’s not really Chandler Bing. That’s a character he played. On TV. Many, many years ago.
I love it! People need to get a sense of humor and relax.

Of course, Jennifer Aniston also liked Perry’s post on Instagram. Friends gotta stick together and all that.
The Friends reunion special will air May 27th on HBO Max.
