Considering how angry so many of the people were after Morgan Wallen canceled his performance Sunday night mere minutes before it was supposed to begin, it’s not very surprising that someone has filed a lawsuit against him.
Wallen canceled his show in Oxford, Mississippi at Vaught Hemingway Stadium on the campus of the University of Mississippi after the opening acts had played with a message on one of the big screens.
The message stated that Morgan Wallen had lost his voice and that ticket refunds would be given to the approximately 60,000 fans in attendance.

While that was obviously the right move to make, it didn’t do anything to help out those who incurred other expenses like gas and hotels.
One of those people, Brandi Burcham, filed a class action lawsuit on Monday “on behalf of herself and all other similarly situated” concert attendees, according to Page Six.
“Even if ticket prices are refunded, no offer has been made to reimburse concertgoers for other out-of-pocket expenses they incurred in connection with the concert cancellation, including transportation, lodging, food, merchandise sales, transaction fees and other such expenses,” the lawsuit reads.
She is suing for breach of contract and negligence and wants a jury trial.
Full refunds were offered to fans after Morgan Wallen canceled his performance in Oxford, Ms. Sunday night for losing his voice.

https://twitter.com/chaztecwarrior/status/1650876469504032771On Monday, Wallen wrote that he was on “doctor-ordered vocal rest” and would be rescheduling three more stops on his tour.
“I appreciate and understand everything you do to get to my shows, so it would be unfair of me to put on a show that I know will not be 100%,” he wrote. “I’m doing everything I can to speed up the process of getting to that 100% mark.”
Interestingly, the law firm behind the lawsuit against Morgan Wallen, Langston & Lott, PLLC, wrote in a now-deleted statement posted on Facebook Tuesday morning that the lawsuit was “mistakenly filed based on a misunderstanding,” but that it will be re-filed.
“Tens of thousands of people collectively spent millions to attend this event, and those affected are entitled to know the truth and to be made whole,” the statement read.
