HBO Max is back with their latest list of new releases. The month of September on HBO Max includes a number of highlights including the drama series Task, a new comedy special from Caleb Hearon, the films Friendship and Warfare, and new documentaries Seen & Heard: The History Of Black Television, The Devil Is Busy, and Prime Minister.
— In the film Friendship, suburban dad Craig (Tom Robinson) falls hard for his charismatic new neighbor (Paul Rudd), but Craig’s attempts to make an adult male friend threaten to ruin both of their lives.
— Seen & Heard takes audiences on a two-part journey through the history of Black representation on television, showcasing how Black artists and creators both shaped and revolutionized the medium while confronting the systemic challenges that have often undermined their contributions.
— Task is set in the working-class suburbs of Philadelphia, where an FBI agent (Mark Ruffalo) heads a task force to put an end to a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspecting family man (Tom Pelphrey).
