Let’s play a fun little game: close your eyes and imagine where you were in the Fall of 2006. Me? I was in the 7th grade. 15 years ago. Perhaps it’s the damage I’ve done to my brain since, or maybe it’s because my memory has blocked those years out, but I don’t remember a damn thing about who I was back then other than the fact that I was wearing braces, playing soccer, and likely horny as hell. Had my first kiss the year before in 6th grade and there was no turning back. Now here I am, 15 years later, and Tinder exists. Pretty sure Match.com was still the butt of many jokes back in ’06.
Trip into my personal childhood aside, my point is that 2006 was, put simply, a hell of a long time ago. The world has changed quite a bit since then if I do say so myself. So have we. Mark Zuckerberg had yet to begin slowly but surely chiseling away at the fabric of society. Apple hadn’t unveiled the iPhone. Tom Brady was playing quarterback in the NF… ah, wait, that one’s still true. What is it with that guy? You know what else has remained the same since 2006, though? The actor playing James Bond: Daniel Craig.
The final trailer for No Time To Die, which will mark Craig’s fifth and ultimate time playing 007, makes sure to remind audiences just how epic of a legacy the now-53-year-old actor leaves behind.
Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga (True Detective, Maniac), No Time To Die stars Craig, Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Ana de Armas, Christoph Waltz, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, and Lashana Lynch, and will hit theaters on Friday, October 8.
