Rapper Offset started a Twitter debate by stating that “hip-hop is Black culture.” And of course the internet was divided on the music tweet.
On Tuesday, the Migos member started controversy when he tweeted: “Sorry but hip hop is black culture don’t speak or give game if u don’t have black culture duh.”

Offset attempted to clarify his tweet, but it was too late, the rage mob had already been activated.
“Don’t make rules on what goes in hip hop when u don’t know the history it’s pain music story music we the biggest genre in the world off our struggle and hustle yesssir proud of my people that’s all of u mad than sorry but no sorry took a lot for us to get here but we here!!!!”

The racial tweet caused many to react with apprehension and outrage. Some even used the tweet to hit Offset and his wife Cardi B, with taunts about Iggy Azalea and Eminem.

I understand where he's coming from when he speaks about black culture. Just like Q-tip from Tribe said: " You can be white and blue but don't crap the roll". Music alone is universal. However, the different types of music such hip hop and rap have there beginnings in the black
