Former The Adventures of Lois & Clark actor Dean Cain has announced that he’s joining ICE. Cain says he’s going to “save America” by joining.

After stirring up some attention for himself by being critical of James Gunn’s massively successful Superman, Cain looks to be trying to extend his 15-minutes of renewed fame by joining the controversial government agency.

According to the 59-year-old Cain — who is widely considered to be the worst live-action Superman — he’s joining ICE with the goal of “removing the “worst of the worst” from the county.

Recent data from the government, however, says that only 8% of those detained since Donald Trump took office have a conviction for a violent crime on their record.

“I felt it was important to join with our first responders to help secure the safety of all Americans, not just talk about it,” Cain said on Instagram. “If you want to help save America, ICE is arresting the worst of the worst and removing them from America’s streets. I like that. I voted for that.”

Cain did not mention whether or not he’d show his face or would hide behind a mask while working for ICE, which has seen its popularity plummet in recent months while simultaneously becoming the largest law enforcement agency in the country via Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill.”

Recent polling indicates a significant decline in favorability towards U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as a Quinnipiac University poll found that a majority of voters (56%) disapprove of how ICE is doing its job, while a study from UC Irvine find that the agency had a -13 net rating as mid-July (compared to +15 in February).

In the second episode of South Park’s 27th season, for example, the agency was depicted as raiding Heaven in order to “round up Mexicans,” with Homeland Security head Kristi Noem saying “Remember, only detain the Brown ones — if it’s Brown it goes down.”
