Taco Bell
Taco Bell— a.k.a. America’s favorite Mexican restaurant— has constantly been at the forefront of fast food innovation and has been responsible for some absolutely insane culinary creations over the years.
I can’t tell you how Taco Bell manages to dream up some of the absurd combinations that have appeared on their menu but I assume they throw darts at a wall covered in Post-it Notes inscribed with every food imaginable.
I can’t imagine there’s any other way someone could have dreamed up a burrito filled with spicy Pop Rocks.

Of course, that’s far from the only unlikely mashup Taco Bell has unleashed on the world.

However, none of these have anything on the G.O.A.T. that is the Beefy Crunch Burrito.
The Beefy Crunch Burrito— which gets its signature texture and spiciness thanks to Flamin’ Hot Fritos— has a long and complex history and was once a staple before Taco Bell decided to discontinue it in 2011.
However, the BCB has been resurrected on a couple of occasions thanks to a massive grassroots movement but only remained on the menu for a limited time because Taco Bell apparently loves breaking our hearts.
Thankfully, they’ve finally decided to do the right thing and try to mend them.
According to Nation’s Restaurant News, Taco Bell is bringing back the BCB once again for the low, low price of $1.49.
The chain also sent a letter to a BCB devotee who has spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get Taco Bell to give the people what they want.

Based on their note, it’s only a matter of time before the burrito disappears from the menu once again.
When that happens, just remember: Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.
