Taco Bell unveiled a new combo deal that is super cheap and can compete with the dollar menus from McDonald’s and Wendy’s. On Thursday, the Bell introduced the “$2 Duo,” which is a combo deal that provides hungry, yet thrifty customers an entire meal for the insanely cheap price of $2.

For $2, customers get a Triple Melt Burrito and a drink (including the Baja Blast). That’s quite the value. The fast-food offering builds on Taco Bell’s already huge dollar menu that includes such items as breakfast soft tacos, sausage flatbread quesadillas, Cinnabon delights, mini skillet bowls, shredded chicken mini quesadillas, spicy tostadas, beefy Fritos burritos, and caramel apple empanadas.

Wendy’s has their Right Price Right Size menu where you can get a number of items including Jr. Cheeseburger, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, four-piece nuggs, fries, soft drink, or a small Frosty for under a buck. McDonald’s offers their $1 $2 $3 Dollar menu where you can purchase a cheeseburger, McChicken, Sausage Burrito, or any soft drink for $1. Taco Bell is attempting to bundle a drink and food in one crazy cheap combo that only costs $2.

“We’re in a business where affordability for Americans is a real concern when you’ve got one in two Americans living paycheck to paycheck,” Taco Bell’s chief brand officer, Marisa Thalberg, told Business Insider.

Taco Bell also introduced the new $5 Steak Nachos Box that is meatier than ever. For $5 you get a double portion of marinated grilled steak, refried beans, warm nacho cheese sauce, shredded three-cheese blend, pico de gallo, and sour cream on a bed of tortilla chips, plus a medium soft drink. Not a bad deal for a fiver.
