Timothy Seratt has never owned a home, flown on a plane or been north of Kentucky can do all of the above after winning $2 million on a scratch-off lottery ticket.
Seratt, who paid $25 for the winning Mega Millionaire Jumbo Bucks ticket, has been living paycheck-to-paycheck his entire life. The father of two spent seven years in prison for burglary before being released in 2013, and claims he worked hard to provide for his children upon his release.
“Everybody has rough patches in their life,” Seratt told WREG. “I’ve worked the entire time I’ve been out.”

After taxes, Serrat is is taking home $1.3 million, and plans to buy his first house, pay off his mom’s house, take his two kids to Disneyland, and invest to avoid spending it all at once. He said plans to fly to Los Angeles to catch a Dodgers game.
If you think Serrat is going to blow the cash on luxury cars and truffle-infused caviar, you’re profiling the wrong man.
“I might have a lot of money but I’m still a redneck. I’ve always been a redneck,” Seratt told WREG. “That ain’t never going to change.”
My favorite sound bite this morning is from Timothy Seratt who just won $2 Million. He said he's not gonna quit his job. On @WCCO's #The734 today I wanna know – what's your number? How much would money would it take for you to quit your job? pic.twitter.com/JpMKtcvDhv
