Something tells me that Elon Musk is very proud of software engineer Amie DD. The guy who has made it possible for monkeys to control computers with their minds certainly has to appreciate the biohacking job she did with with her Tesla Model 3.
For you see, Amie DD, whose professional background includes work for Marvel Studios, Xbox and Playstation, implanted the RFID chip from her Model 3 valet key card into her arm. And it’s not even the first time she’s donw this. She also has a RFID chip inside her hand that connects to her website and front door lock.
“It’s just basic access control. If I were to tap my hand to your phone, it would automatically open a browser and go to my web page,” Amie says in a video about her Tesla biohack.

That previous RFID chip hack is what inspired her to do that same with her Tesla’s chip.
When shs tried to just transfer the Tesla software to the chip she already had in her hand failed, she went to work.
First, she dissolved the valet key card’s plastic in acetone, then had the folks at VivoKey encase the key in a biopolymer container to make it safe for her body.
The nest step ws getting it implanted in her arm, something she says doctors were “were a little leery about doing this because it’s kind of a… questionable thing.”
Instead, she turned to Shaman Modifications for the chip’s installation.
Amie published the full details and project diary for her Tesla Model 3 implant hack on Hackaday in addition to a YouTube video she shared discussing the process.
Hey @elonmusk I’m open to running your body hacking division with @vivokey JUST SAYING! https://t.co/v9HI3JEBp6
