No joke. This parking lot video posted by @bigbruva_77 on TikTok will blow your mind to smithereens.
How many decades have we as humans been parking our cars, trucks and SUVs in parking lots and never given a single thought to whether or not there was any other way to do it other than the way we’ve always done it?
Answer: pretty much forever.
You pull into a lot, look for an open space and then, if you aren’t an a-hole, you try to park car your car so the left and right sides are equidistant from the lines on the ground that make up the parking space. Right? Easy peasy.

Turns out that we have all been parking our cars wrong this whole time.
In @bigbruva_77’s TikTok video, we see him in a lot filled with vehicles. He was there to pick up a car from a General Motors lot when noticed something very peculiar… and very interesting.
“What if I told y’all we’ve been parking in parking spots wrong the whole time?” he says to start the video as he pans around the lot.
“Look how they park,” he continues. “They park on the line. See how evenly spaced they are?
“Imagine if everybody at Walmart parked on the line. It would lessen the amount of dings and give you space to get in and out of your car.
“We’ve been doing it wrong the whole time y’all.”
He is not kidding. Mind. Blown.

“There’s not enough common sense for this to happen,” commented one viewer.
“Wow! I can’t believe how simple that is,” wrote another person.
Really, the only question, and it is a big one, is, how do we completely change the way everyone parks in lots and start doing it this way from on?
Seriously. I want to know. Because I will now never, ever be able to pull into a lot again without looking at all of the cars thinking, “They’re all doing it so wrong.”
