Do you have an embarrassing wealth of wood in Fortnite and not in the mood to build, but maybe you need to upgrade your weapon? Now you’ll be able to barter those building materials for a variety of loot and weapons thanks to the new vending machine addition to Fortnite: Battle Royale.

Epic Games unveiled the new vending machines where you can sell unused materials in exchange for loot. The vending machines will sell Common items, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Each vending machine will sell three items, one for each material type (Wood, Stone, Metal). The great part is that the game will only accept in-game materials and not real money.

  • Common items (white) will cost 100 materials
  • Uncommon items (green) will cost 200 materials
  • Rare items (blue) will cost 300 materials
  • Epic items (purple) will cost 400 materials
  • Legendary items (gold) will cost 500 materials

“Each Vending Machine offers three different deals, rarity and items chosen at random,” Epic Games says. You can purchase as much crap as you want and there is no purchase limit. ProTip: To switch items faster, hit the vending machine with your pickaxe. The vending machines are scattered across the board and here’s a handy map so you know the exact locations so you can grab some loot.

This week’s Fortnite: Battle Royale update also “first-shot accuracy” to weapons such as pistols, tactical submachine guns, and assault rifles. “When aiming, standing still, and the weapon has not fired recently, the first shot will be 100% accurate,” Epic Games said. “When this is active, the aim reticle will be completely closed in to indicate this state.” Other additions include remote explosives and guided missiles are now available in Battle Royale‘s High Explosives v2 limited-time mode and there’s a festive Easter Egg Launcher for Save the World. What are you waiting for? Start chopping down trees to get some actual worthwhile stuff before the world-destroying comet hits Fornite.
