Listen To Wu-Tang And 2 Chainz Collide In ‘Wu-Chainz: 36 Trap Houses’ Mashup Mixtape From DJ Critical Hype

Wu-Chainz DJ Critical Hype 2 Chainz Wu-Tang Clan MashUp Mixtape

If you were not aware, Wu-Tang is here forever, motherfuckers. While hip-hop has changed exponentially since Wu-Tang Clan released Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) way, way back on November 9, 1993, the rap group’s debut album is and always will be a classic. DJ Critical Hype reminds hip-hop heads everywhere that Wu-Tang is for the children by mixing the group’s gritty, timeless sound with the more contemporary flow of 2 Chainz in a mixtape titled “Wu-Chainz: 36 Trap Houses.”

We are no stranger to the work of Canadian producer DJ Critical Hype and his magnificent mashup mixtapes. Only six months ago, DJ Critical Hype combined Kendrick Lamar’s impeccable flow with Dr. Dre’s legendary beats in a mashup mixtape titled “The Damn. Chronic.

DJ Critical Hype, who is one of the greatest mashup producers in the game, got the idea for his latest old school meets new school compilation from the Atlanta hip-hop festival A3C. “When A3C approached me about ‘Wu-Chainz,’ I thought the concept was sick and was instantly curious about how it would sound,” DJ Critical Hype said. “Grinding the project out over the last few months, it became clear pretty quickly 2 Chainz’ witty southern raps sounded right at home over the incredible RZA production.”

“I always enjoy the process of blending two different sounds together to create something new, so having the opportunity to do it with a legendary act like Wu-Tang and one of my favorite artists in 2 Chainz has been an amazing experience,” Hype continued.

Mega producer RZA is happy to have a talent such as 2 Chainz on his beats and calls him a “great lyricist.” “Whether you’re from the Slums of Shaolin or the Wards of the South, hip-hop is our voice,” RZA said.

Raekwon da Chef also shared his appreciation for the down-south rapper, “He does his thing for real. 2 Chainz has always showed love to myself and The Clan, and we got nothing but love.”

The A3 Festival will feature Wu-Tang clan as the headlining act when it goes down October 6th and 7th.

There are few beats quite like “C.R.E.A.M.” that are so tremendous and were made to be freestyled over. You add 2 Chainz and it is a complete triumph.

Here is the “The Damn. Chronic” mashup mixtape by DJ Critical Hype.
