The Four Roses 2025 Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon has been revealed. This is the 18th annual release of one of the most highly sought after bourbons in the industry and I look forward to the Four Roses Limited Edition Small Batch more than any other bourbon release on the calendar.
We have all of the details on this annual release including the ages of the four bourbons in the blend, the recipes, how to get a bottle yourself, and more.
Everything To Know About The Four Roses 2025 Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon

Four Roses
This year’s Small Batch LE’s 4 blend components are comprised of three 13-year-old bourbons and one 19-year-old bourbon. They are a 13-year-old bourbon OBSV recipe, a 13-year-old OBSK, a 13-year-old OESV, and a 19-year-old OESV recipe.
It is a 109-proof release that is bursting with flavor and just as in years past, it will be difficult to track down. There are 16,854 bottles of the 2025 Four Roses Limited Edition Small Batch being made available to the public at a retail price of $249.
In order to be able to purchase one of those bottles, individuals must first enter the lottery on the FourRoses website. If given the chance to purchase, it must then be done so at the Four Roses Distillery visitor center in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky on September 3rd. Worth it? Absolutely!
About those recipes…
The components again are 13yr OBSV (38%), 13yr OBSK (17%), 13yr OESV (35%), and 19yr OESV (10%).
With OESV represented twice here, let’s start there. That is the 6th recipe on Four Roses’ website. It features the E mashbill (75% corn, 20% rye, 5% malted barley) and the V yeast strain. (delicate fruit). Where as the OBSV is the B mashbill and the V yeast strain, and the OBSK is the B mashbill (60% corn, 35% rye, and 5% malted barley) and the K yeast which is known for it’s spice.
The 2024 Small Batch LE featured OBSV 12-Year Bourbon, OESK 15-Year Bourbon, OESF 16-Year Bourbon, and OBSV 20-Year Bourbon. Four Roses Master Distiller Brent Elliott likes to mix things up from year to year and we can see that is definitely the case this year with three inclusions of the V yeast strain.
Elliott gravitated toward the V yeast when blending this year’s ultra-premium release.
In a statement, Elliott said he was “drawn to the 13-year-old V batches that showcase pronounced delicate fruit and sweet barrel tones. Although these barrels can really shine on their own, the OBSK brought in a complexity that I think people will really enjoy. The addition of the 19-year-old OBSV also adds another layer of depth and aged character that rounds out the blend beautifully.”
I was fortunate enough to do a Zoom tasting with Brent Elliott yesterday prior to the announcement. This marks at least the 5th year in a row I have been fortunate enough to sample the Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition and as I stated above, it has become my personal favorite ultra-premium bourbon release on the calendar.
The Small Batch LE is always non-chill filtered and bottled at barrel strength. If you like a full flavored bourbon and not something watered down, this is where your bread gets buttered.
The Four Roses Small Batch LE lottery will run from August 19-24. Winners get announced on the 29th. So if you have the means to get to Kentucky after winning the lottery, be sure to enter on Four Roses’ website!
