Yesterday in Maranello, Ferrari debuted the new Ferrari 488 Pista. The 488 Pista is the latest and greatest from Ferrari which pumps out unimaginable power and harnesses that power into lightning-fast speed. This is a car which owes much of its incredible performance to the 488 GTE (race-specific) and the 488 Challenge.
The Ferrari 488 Pista will officially be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show but Ferrari debuted the successor to their V-8 engined special series. The 488 Pista is preceded by the 360 Challenge Stradale and the 430 Scudiera.
The all-new Ferrari 488 Pista runs on a V8 90° twin turbo engine which pumps out 710 horsepower. It is capable of going from 0-to-62 MPH in under three seconds. And the 488 Pista has a top speed of 211 MPH. Ferrari says this car’s engine is an ‘extreme evolution’ of their award-winning turbo unit, and they say that this is the most powerful V8 engine in Ferrari history.
