On Thursday I shared what I think might be the most badass car at the 2018 New York International Auto Show, a custom 1,100 HP Trans Am 455 Super Duty. I can’t even imagine what driving that car must feel like.
And today, I’ve got another car for you that would be an absolute scream to drive. Because you’d probably be screaming if you ever got behind the wheel of this supercharged Katech-customized 760 Horsepower 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE.
Yeah, no big deal here. It’s just that NHRA Funny Car driver Tony Bartone sent Katech his 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE to get their new camshaft, CNC ported heads, and a Whipple 2.9L supercharger which pounds out 758 horsepower — at the rear wheels(!).
According to Motor Authority, on an engine dyno, the 6.2-liter LT4 produced 876hp and 858lb-ft of torque, compared to a stock 650hp and 650lb-ft of torque.
Of course, not everyone can own a car as souped up as Tony Bartone’s Camaro. However, you can get one of those stock ZL1’s they mentioned. You’ll just have to find a way to get by with only 650 horsepower. Think you can manage?
