The Xbox One S has made its way to the public over the past few weeks and it’s already being heralded as the greatest gaming console to ever hit the market. A lot of people out there are wondering what the hype is all about, myself included, so I recently got hands-on with the Xbox One S Battlefield Bundle (released on October 21st).
The Xbox One S Battlefield Bundle features the Xbox One S, Microsoft’s new and improved Xbox One console that’s 40% slimmer than the previous version even though it comes packing 2TB of storage. It also plays Xbox 360 games as well as all Xbox One games (obviously). It could’ve just been my imagination playing tricks on me but I swear the Xbox One S was faster than my Xbox One.
The all new Xbox One S also supports 4K and Blu-Ray video, and this also means the Xbox One S is capable of supporting HDR gaming. It comes in three sizes, 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB.
So how is the Xbox One S 40% smaller than the Xbox One? Well, part of the reason is the Xbox One S has a built-in power source in place of the bulky power brick found on the Xbox One. Other features include an Ultra HD Blu-Ray player that’s been universally lauded as one of the best around.
