Brewers pitcher Matt Garza decided to chime in when actress Jessica Chastain brought up the subject of birth control on Twitter. He probably shouldn’t have.
Chastain had taken to Twitter to express her concern about the effect the Senate repealing Obamacare could have on women having access to birth control.
#BirthControl is no longer covered by health insurance. Congrats USA, you're doing your part to keep women out of the work force. #smfh ðŸ˜

If you are not ready to provide for a family, if you want to finish school, if you want to build a career, protect yourself. #IUD @PPact

Whether you agree or disagree with her take, it might be best not to throw out a counter argument like the one Garza decided to lob into the Twitterverse.
It's called abstinence, a word that has been forgotten amongst this generation… it's the best contraceptive… #juatsaying https://t.co/OgKg1qQmln

Why was this comment a bit ill-advised? Well, there are many reasons, none of which were lost on the folks who decided to get their troll on at Garza’s expense…
.@Gdeuceswild Yeahhh. How many ppl do you know who are abstinent? Don't lecture women about abstinence…especially when you had a kid at 18

so a married couple, after having a few kids, needs to just end their intimate life together? That's absurd and wrong.

the most effective way of not making a bad tweet is to delete your account

Even well-noted baseball troll, pitcher Brandon McCarthy, got in on the trolling action…
good point. I just have a hamper full of filthy socks and my wife sits on the washing machine 12-6 pm and we're doing great

I especially liked this one…

As if all of that wasn’t bad enough, Garza once told another player that his wife needed to shut up when it comes to talking about baseball, yet here he is talking about women’s rights.
Twitter beefs between people who live in different worlds than ours are so fun, aren’t they?
By the way, there is SO much more here. Knock yourselves out.
