Depending on who you are, the word “Phish” either conjures up the mental image of a white guy with dreads walking through a parking lot with a balloon in his hand or a 17-minute-long jam session involving beach balls, flashing lights, and trampolines. It’s unlikely that their lyrics are the first thing to come to mind.
Phish might not be best known for their songwriting prowess, but that doesn’t mean the band isn’t capable of penning some pretty profound lyrics. It might seem absurd to compare them to Dr. Seuss, but a closer examination shows they might have more in common than you’d think.
