If you’re reading this, congratulations on your first-round playoff win. If you didn’t win and are still reading this, thank you for continued support, beers on me.
The good thing about fantasy football playoffs is with just a few teams left and you need to grab someone off the waiver wire, good chance you can snag him, but the bad news is that the pickings are going to be slim just like me when I go get my Christmas shopping done next Wednesday.
I have a couple of players that are good for fill-in spots or insurance policies, but I also listed some quarterbacks that could be streamer options in your playoff run. Let’s look at some players to add in Week 15.
QB Jalen Hurts
Hurts went out and balled last week against the Saints who needed this game to stay in the hunt for the No. 1 seed. He was able to use his arm with a passing touchdown but mostly showed off his legs with 106 rushing yards. He’s someone to look at as a streaming option.
QB Mitchell Trubisky
If you’re one of the few that have supported the Bears taking Trubisky over Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson, you’ve been halfway vindicated. Big Mitch out-performed Watson in their head-to-head matchup this past weekend. Trubisky now has 20+ fantasy points in two of his last three games and seven passing touchdowns. He has some positive matchups against Minnesota and Jacksonville coming up.
QB Philip Rivers
Rivers continues to put up efficient numbers and has multiple passing touchdowns in four straight games. He has another great matchup this week against the same Houston defense Trubisky just went off on.
WR/RB Lynn Bowden
DeVante Parker and Jakeem Grant both left the game last week with injuries, in their absence, Bowden served as the number one option for Miami. He had a solid outing with seven catches and 82 yards. He’s listed as both a wide receiver and running back; that helps if you need to fill either spot.
WR Tim Patrick
I still don’t know how Patrick is not rostered in over 50 percent of leagues. Once again he managed a double-digit PPR performance last week, that’s five straight games when Drew Lock is under center. He’s a great flex option going forward.
WR Chad Hansen
With Brandin Cooks out, Hansen was able to see some more playing time. Last week he led all Texans receivers in catches and receiving yards. If Cooks can’t get back on the field, look for Hansen as a deeper league option.
WR Keke Coutee
Coutee was the star pick up in Week 14 when he essentially replaced the suspended Will Fuller. He had decent Week 15 as he found the end zone. With Deshaun Watson as his quarterback, he’s someone you can take a chance on.
WR Nelson Agholor
I think most fantasy owners still think about Agholor as an Eagle and remember the burn, but he’s actually been a solid WR3/flex option in Vegas with double-digit PPR games in four of his last six games.
