- Tom Brady has announced that he is going to return to the Tampa Bay Bucs for another season.
- Brady’s announcement came just a few days after Aaron Rodgers confirmed he would sign with the Packers.
- As a result, football fans have been cracking jokes about Brady (once again) stealing the spotlight from Rodgers.
Following Tom Brady’s shock announcement that he would be returning to play with the Tampa Bay Bucs for another season, one of his fellow colleagues — Green Bay Packers quarterback and reigning back-to-back NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers — caught some strays on social media.
Given the 38-year-old’s behavior over the last year or so, there’s a narrative surrounding him about how much he enjoys attention, so NFL fans naturally imagined how Rodgers must be feeling after Brady confirmed his triumphant return to the league just days after Rodgers did the same.

Luckily for all football fans, though, Brady’s return means we’ll get to see him and Rodgers square off (at least) one more time, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Green Bay Packers are set to face off during the 2022 NFL season.
According to reports, the 38-year-old Rodgers — who has won two of his four league MVPs in the last two seasons — has signed a four-year, $200 million contract with the iconic NFC North franchise. Rodgers had previously been flirting with the idea of either retiring or signing with another NFL team. Pat McAfee, who is a close friend of Rodgers, said that the Pittsburgh Steelers were “allegedly” trying to sign him prior to his decision to return to Wisconsin.
Prior to Brady’s return, the Bucs were at +2500 odds to win the Super Bowl. Now they’re the third-favorite at +850.
