During the Raiders-Jets game on Sunday Night Football, Aaron Rodgers finally revealed his comeback date goal.
Talking with NBC’s Melissa Stark, Rodgers shared that he’s gunning for a mid-December return. Which, of course, sounds really quick considering his injury.
Rodgers, who’s been nursing a torn Achilles since Week 1, said: “I know it sounds insane, but if you do a good surgery, have a good patient, it makes this possible.”
If Rodgers pulls this off, it could set the stage for a miraculous playoff run for the Jets.
Zach Wilson has been starting for the team in Rodgers’ absence, but he’s been struggling badly. The Jets are currently sitting at a mediocre 4-4 on the season. For Rodgers’ return to make any sense, they need to stay in the playoffs.
Before kick-off, Rodgers was caught in a mini-reunion with Raiders WR Davante Adams. He then went in to hug Raiders owner Mark Davis.

The Jets are currently up 9-3 against the Raiders. If they pull off the W, it will go a long way toward helping Rodgers possibly returning this season.
