Ever since Green Bay let Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams leave and sign with the Las Vegas Raiders, Aaron Rodgers has been asked, and answered, question after question about the Packers’ wide receiving corps.

Last week, after targeting wide receivers Romeo Doubs and Allen Lazard eight times each, Rodgers admitted on The Pat McAfee Show that he wouldn’t be against the Packers going after Odell Beckham Jr.

The conversation started after OBJ tweeted about Rodgers on October 2nd.

“Odell and I have been friends for a number of years now, so we keep in contact often,” Rodgers admitted. “We’ve talked at various times over the years and oviously with a player like that you’re always hoping there’s a time where you can figure things out and play together.”

Aaron Rodgers addressed the rumors about Odell Beckham Jr. and the Packers on Sunday

Following Sunday’s 27-22 loss to New York Giants on Sunday in London in which Rodgers threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns, the subject of Odell Beckham Jr. came up once again.

“Well first, he’s not healthy, yet. I don’t think. So I don’t really feel like there’s a need to comment until he’s healthy,” Rodgers replied to a question in the post-game media scrum. “But, you know, that’s really a question for Brian [Gutekunst] and his staff.

ā€œI’m always going to be for adding anybody to our squad that can help us win,ā€ Rodgers added. ā€œWhether or not we need an OBJ, who knows? But I like the person, love the player and just want him to be healthy, honestly. He’s been through a lot the last few years and that’s the most important thing.ā€

Interestingly, earlier in the media session, Rodgers also admitted, when talking about the lack of success with deep passes, “We’re just not quite on the same page at times. We got to go back and look at it. I don’t want to make a blanket statement right now. Definitely not an emotional blanket statement so I’ll just withhold that and maybe talk about it on Wednesday.”

For what it’s worth, as OBJ was so kind to share with everyone last week on Twitter, the Packers are currently not the favorites to sign him.
