All Angles To Every One Of LeBron James’ Violent Dunks Last Night Proves He’s Been Eating His Wheaties This Offseason

You won’t hear me say this often, but last night was a good night to be a Clevelander. The Indians took Game 1 of the World Series at Progressive Field by a score of 6-0, and just miles away the Cavs waxed the Knicks 117-88 in its season opener at The Q Arena.

I was flipping back and forth between the World Series and the Cavs-Knicks game and it seemed like every time I switched to the basketball game, LeBron was abusing the rim. The reigning Finals MVP had his hand in every facet of the game in true LeBron fashion–finishing  with a triple double (19 points, 14 assists, 11 rebounds). And this filthy block on Courtney Lee.

The Cavs looked strong. Granted, it’s game one of an 82 game season and they were playing a team that won an Eastern Conference worst 17 games last year, but they made a statement early about who the real NBA super team is. Meanwhile, the Warriors laid an egg at home against the Spurs, getting plastered 129-100, and allowing Kawhi Leonard to take a watery dump all over them to the tune of 35 points (a career high).

The NBA is back bros, and the storylines are juicing up.

P.S. RIP Rim. You had a good run.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
