The United States secured its second victory in the group stage at the Olympics with a win over South Sudan on Wednesday, and Bam Adebayo couldn’t stop himself from having some fun with Brian Windhorst after leading the scoring in a game the NBA insider suggested he had no business playing in.

Team USA arrived at the Olympics as the overwhelming favorite to take home the gold medal in men’s basketball thanks to a stacked roster teeming with NBA stars. However, there were a few concerns heading into the competition thanks to what transpired before it kicked off.

Prior to the start of the Olympics, the American squad headed to London for a couple of warm-up games that gave Steve Kerr the chance to tinker with his roster while facing off against a couple of teams that shouldn’t have posed any real threat.

However, the United States found itself dealing with an unexpected scare when it faced off against South Sudan, which boasted a 16-point lead in the first half before LeBron James helmed a comeback that ended with Team USA escaping with the 101-100 victory.

The guys representing the Stars and Stripes were still 29.5-point favorites going into their rematch with South Sudan on Wednesday, and prior to the showdown, Brian Windhorst appeared on The Pat McAfee Show for an interview where he suggested Kerr could keep Bam Adebayo on the bench due to a style of play that wasn’t suited for the athleticism of his opponents.

Joel Embiid was ultimately hit with the “DNP-CD” tag for the same reason, and Adebayo not only played 21 minutes off the bench but posted a game-high 18 points while leading the United States to the 103-86 win that ensured they’ll have a spot in the quarterfinals.

After the contest, Adebayo hopped on Twitter to respond to Windhorst’s interview with a GIF of 50 Cent uttering “What he say f— me for?” after getting called out by Floyd Mayweather back in 2014 while making it clear it kept the receipts.

Well played.
