Andy Reid is on the hunt for his second Super Bowl title as Head Coach of the Kansas City Chiefs and his third Super Bowl as a coach (assistant coach in Super Bowl XXXI). Kansas City are the AFC favorite and after stumbling early in the season with lots of questions being asked about Patrick Mahomes the Chiefs look as dominant as they ever have.
After Andy Reid’s Chiefs beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 42-21 at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday night (with Travis Kelce’s mom attending her second playoffs game of the day), the head coach was asked about how his team is staying hungry.
There are some truly legendary quotes from Andy Reid and this one ranks near the top. He compared winning the Super Bowl to eating chocolate cake. And it seemed like the perfect time to look at the best Andy Reid quote of all time. But first, let’s start with the chocolate cake quote.
The Best Andy Reid Quotes Of All-Time
“If you have a piece of chocolate cake, and you see another dangling in front of you, you’re going to want it. That’s how you feel about the super bowl..it is the ultimate chocolate cake.”
Andy Reid asked if #Chiefs have same championship hunger: "If you have a piece of chocolate cake, and you see another dangling in front of you, you're going to want it. Thats how you feel about the super bowl..it is the ultimate chocolate cake."

That’s instantly in the discussion of the best Andy Reid quotes ever. This man compared winning the Super Bowl, one of the most impossible athletic feats on the planet, to eating delicious chocolate cake.
Only Andy Reid can say something like that with a straight face. It’s incredible. But how does it compare to previous quotes from Andy Reid, let’s take a look back at some of his humdingers from yesteryear.
Look Back At Andy Reid’s Most Legendary Quotes
When asked about what he was going to do after winning his first Super Bowl as a head coach, Andy Reid said he was going to celebrate with the ‘biggest cheeseburger you’ve ever seen’.

We as a society aren’t talking enough about Tiddlywinks. Thankfully, this ranks up there with the best Andy Reid quotes of the past decade.
Andy Reid quote of the day, in any context: "We're not in a tiddlywink contest. There's a certain amount of pressure that comes with the sport."

You don’t have to come out of the womb that way but it’s better if you do…
Favorite no-context needed quote from Andy Reid this morning:
"You don’t come out of the womb in a four-point stance. Well, you kind of do. But you don’t stay there very long."
Btw, this was also the second time he said womb at the coaches breakfast.

Here’s one of the best Andy Reid quotes I can remember. This is about him putting down 40-ounces of steak in 19 minutes (via NBC Philadelphia in 2017):
“Basically, when the server comes up and gives their speel, they describe the different cuts of meat, flavor profiles, and textures, he described them to Andy and said, ‘Would you like the ribeye, the New York strip, or the filet mignon?’” Furino said on a radio appearance. “And Andy said, ‘Yes.’ Like yes to all three. That’s kind of how it got started. They put all three in front of him. He put down about 90% of them.”
I’m a born-and-raised Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan and obviously want my team to repeat at Super Bowl champions but I’d love to see Andy Reid there for the AFC. Anytime he gets the opportunity to speak in front of the microphone something magical comes out of his mouth about food going into his mouth. He’s truly got a way with words.
