Before the fight on Saturday night, Floyd Mayweather walked into the M Resort in Las Vegas at around 3:30 p.m. and attempted to place a $400,000 bet on the fight ending under 9.5 rounds at -200 odds. The deal was squashed due to the legality issues of a fighter betting on anything other than a straight win, ESPN reports. Mayweather then tried to bet on himself to win by knockout but stormed off after it he had to wait to place the bet.

No one has more confidence in Floyd Mayweather than Floyd Mayweather. Except maybe the dude who dropped $1.21 million (two $605,000 straight bets) on the 40-year-old to beat Conor McGregor in his first ever boxing match.

The bet turned out to be quite lucrative for the dude, netting $242,000, a 20% return on his investment. God damn. The rich get richer while I’ve been saving up for a haircut for two months.
