Bill Belichick called a surprise press conference Saturday to attempt to squash the whole ‘DeflateGate’ scandal with science. Belichick went on an insane science filled rant to describe how the PSI of the ball may have dropped due to “atmospheric” climate and how the Patriots “followed every rule, to the letter”.

The whole press conference was extremely surreal and hilarious. Not only did Belichick drop science bombs on the media, he also made a pretty amazing ‘My Cousin Vinny” reference by saying he’s “Not the Mona Lisa Vito of the football world”.

Mona Lisa Vito is of course the character played by Marisa Tomei who used science and explained”positraction” to get Ralph Maccio and his friend acquitted in “My Cousin Vinny”.

While we’re at it here are our favorite Mona Lisa Vito moments
