The New England Patriots embarrassed the New York Jets this past weekend by the count of 54-13. New England scored a cool seven touchdowns against the lowly Jets, but you wouldn’t know it if you watched head coach Bill Belichick on the sideline during the Pats’ win.
NFL Films captured Belichick’s reaction – or lack thereof – after every Patriots score against New York and Belichick showed absolutely zero emotion. Not a fist-pump, a clap, a thumbs up, literally nothing. This isn’t surprising by any means, Bill Belichick is a robot, but to not show a lick of emotion during a blowout win is almost hard to do.
The video of Belichick looking angry, not happy, that his team is throttling a division rival is so on-brand it hurts.

To Belichick’s defense, the Jets are terrible. They entered the game at just 1-4 on the season, so Belichick not getting too hyped up for his team beating a team they should beat is understandable.
Deep down, Belichick has to be happy about his team’s performance. The Patriots were fresh off of a tough loss to the Dallas Cowboys, so getting a very comfortable win over an inferior opponent had to feel nice. Surely he cracked at least one smile in the locker room following the game.
