Josh Allen put together one of the best performances of his NFL career on Sunday throwing for 415 yards and four touchdowns in the Bills’ 44-34 win over the Seahawks. He also put up those numbers with a heavy heart.
Following the win, it was announced that Allen’s grandmother, Patricia Allen, had passed away the day before the game.
After hearing of Allen’s grandmother passing away, Bills fans started donating $17 (Allen’s number) to the Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo in honor of Allen’s grandmother. He has worked closely with the hospital frequently since arriving in Buffalo in 2018.
Bills Mafia, being one of the most passionate and tight-knit fan groups in all of sports, raised over $100,000 in under 24 hours. According to the most recent reports, fans have donated over $200k as of Tuesday.
