Red Bull released an awesome new video featuring BMX rider Tyler Fernengel shredding the abandoned Silverdome, which shut down just a few years ago. Fernengel, a Detroit native, has a special place in his heart for the once majestic stadium, as he attending sporting events and raced at the stadium as a kid. What is now reduced to a concrete wasteland, Tyler returned to the abandoned halls after nine years to give us this jaw-dropping footage.

From RedBull.com:

“I was 3 years old [when I first went to the Silverdome]. And I had just gotten my first dirt bike. It may have been the first race I ever did — my Dad entered me in the amateur supercross races held at the Silverdome; amateurs would compete the day before the pro supercross. I raced there every year until I was 10 years old.”
