Every time I see Booger McFarland’s vaguely iritiaing person or hear his uniquely annoying voice, my mind transports me to the third act of Avengers: Infinity War, particularly the scene that wonders where, who, and why is Gamora?

And frankly, that’s how I feel about ESPN Monday Night Football analyst Booger McFarland: where did he come from, who is he, and why do we have to listen to him?

Unfortunatey for ESPN, despite the jettisoning of awkard-nails-against-a-chalkboard analyst Jason Witten, Monday Night Football has been a disaster thus far this season.

Not only do Joe Tessitore and Booger McFarland remain as corny and uneducated as ever, but every single Monday Night Football game so far — outside of the season opener between the New Orelans Saints and the Houston Texans — has been utter garbage.

Last night’s game was no different, as the 0-3 Cincinnati Bengals traveled up to Pittsburgh to get their asses handed to them by the equally pitiful 0-3 Pittsburgh Steelers.

And yet, despite the fact that the Bengals ended the night losing 27-3 and dropping to 0-4, BOOG was still full of praise for first-year head coach Zac Taylor… and no one on the internet could figure out why.

At this point, the *ONLY* logical explanation is that Booger — whose namesake is that of a piece of dried nasal mucus — is using his Monday Night Football commentary gig to troll the fine people of this great nation. How else can you explain such egregiously bad takes? Booger likely knows this is his last year in the booth and his sharpening his Hot Take tongue for when he eventually lands as a panelist on FS1’s Undisputed.
