Boxing promoter Bob Arum was not happy with how the Fury-Wilder press conference went down.
On Wednesday afternoon, Fox Sports boxing host Kate Abdo found herself in the middle of a heated back and forth between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury in the their press conference ahead of their big fight. At the end of the presser, Abdo tried to get the two fighters to face off but an incensed Arum immediately put a stop to it.
After the presser Arum spoke to the media and ripped Abdo to shreds because apparently all camps involved agreed there would be no face off before the fight.

“They bring this woman in from the U.K., and she’s slanting all of the press conference to Wilder. I don’t give a damn, but it’s obvious that’s what she was doing. She knew that the understanding was no face-off. Tom Brown argued with Fox for no face-off. We said no face-off. What does she say? ‘We’re going to do a face-off. Fuck her and fuck them. No face-off and we saved the fight.”
Arum then went on to curse out ESPN boxing reporter Mike Coppinger for asking him a question about past issues with Teofimo Lopez’s contract negotiations.
