Some teams won at the trade deadline while others lost. Meanwhile, some didn’t even make a move. That was the case for the Houston Texans, as the franchise was expected to trade Brandin Cooks. Instead, nothing came to fruition at all. Now, the star receiver makes a big timely decision ahead of the Thursday night matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Brandin Cooks Won’t Play In Texans-Eagles Thursday Night Game

According to Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, Cooks, who has been “listed as questionable for personal reasons tonight, is not expected to play against the Eagles.” This also stems from Brandin Cooks’ disappointment in the Texans failing to trade him, which he shared publicly.

This is a horrible look for Houston. Considering the franchise is a bottom-of-the-barrel team right now, you’d think acquiring as many future assets as possible would be wise. Instead, the Texans failed to reach a deal with anyone before the trade deadline. Now, they’re dealing with an unhappy player on the roster once again.

It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out. For now, Brandin Cooks will not participate in the Thursday night game. However, the Texans and their star receiver will, “continue to talk and try for a reset after tonight’s game,” per Mike Garafolo.

Keep an eye on Houston right now, as there is no telling what will transpire between them and Brandin Cooks. Hopefully, they can resolve the issue and Cooks hits the field again soon.
