NY Giants head coach Brian Daboll is finally happy this season. Earlier this week, Daboll announced the decision to bench Russell Wilson in favor of rookie QB Jaxson Dart.
“The conversations that I’ve had with these young men will be private. The details will be private. All I can tell you is we’re going with Jaxson, and we’re getting ready to play, so I’m not going to add too much to it,” Daboll said.
“It’s my decision, and we’re going with Jaxson.”
“That’s the direction that I wanted to go, and that’s the direction that we’re going to go.”
Daboll ended up making the right call as the Giants led the Chargers to a 21-18 win over the LA Chargers.
After the game, a very happy Daboll was seen hugging Dart on the field.

Dart talked about his connection with Daboll during his postgame press conference.
“Me and Dabs just have a special relationship. He’s the guy who believed in me from Day 1.” Dart told reporters.
Daboll also gave his thoughts on his rookie’s performance.
“Thought he made good decisions, thought we ran the ball well, thought we controlled the game for the most part”
