The Denver Broncos made a big move this offseason after trading for Sean Payton. Now that they have a head coach, the franchise searches for its defensive coordinator.
Payton mentioned he would have liked to have Vic Fangio be his defensive coordinator. However, Fangio took the Miami Dolphins’ job instead.
Additionally, it sounds like current defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero might be on the move as the Broncos are reportedly interested in a new candidate.
According to Ian Rapoport, Denver has requested to interview Brian Flores for their defensive coordinator position.

If the Broncos end up hiring Flores then they might have one of the most stacked coaching staffs in the NFL.
Although Denver was one of the worst teams in the league this season, the defense was easily one of the best. With Evero likely on the move, bringing in Brian Flores would be huge for this team.
With Sean Payton leading the way, Broncos fans are hopeful for a turnaround. It’s been a long time coming and last season was a hot mess.
So, if the offense can improve while the defense stays consistent, then Denver could be back on top.
With that said, keep a close eye on the Broncos for now. Considering they’re requesting an interview with Brian Flores suggests they want to make another splash hire for the coaching staff.
