Brooks Koepka and his new-look pornstar mustache hopped on Instagram Live on Wednesday for a discussion with teacher Claude Harmon III. The two essentially had an hour-long open conversation answering all sorts of questions from viewers and, of course, some questions and answers stood out above the rest.

Koepka is pretty much always an open book, especially in this sort of setting, but right from the get-go it was clear we were going to get an authentic Koepka when he said he was hungover. It turns out he went 30 days without drinking, but when day 31 came around he went a little overboard.

“I did 30 days of no drinking. Didn’t last 31. I feel great. I mean, I’m not gonna lie, I feel hungover today. But it was good. I feel really good, he said. “My body feels good. It’s just nice to be healthy and making steps in the right direction.”

Koepka and Harmon also got on the topic of college, which Koepka was quick to admit that he wasn’t necessarily a scholar. He went to Florida State and he went to Florida State to play golf, that’s it.

“I never opened a book in college. I’m sorry. My coaches, tutors are all probably so mad right now. I’ll be honest, I was there to play golf. I knew what I wanted to do.” He also said that he used to always skip a certain morning class, but the professor let him make up a test he missed with a simple 10 question true or false test, which Koepka managed to get every single one of the questions wrong.

As the Q&A session rolled on on Instagram, Koepka went down memory lane again flashing back to a trip to Las Vegas following his 2017 U.S. Open win. While he explained that he and his crew literally lost the top of the U.S. Open trophy before some lady found it and returned it, he had a phone interview later that day but heard some stuff going on in the hallways. He opened his door and it was Lil Wayne surrounded by three humongous bodyguards.

“Holy shit, that’s Lil Wayne,” Koepka said. “And I just completely forgot about the interview and what I was doing. I like stuttered. I didn’t know what to say.”

Last, but certainly not least, Koepka talked about how he re-watched the 2019 Masters final round broadcast this past Easter Sunday. After he explained that he actually loved his tee shot on No. 12 in the air before it wound up in the drink, he broke down the Par 5 15th where if he had made his eagle putt he would have created an unbelievable Masters moment.

He tapped in for his birdie which put him in a tie for the lead at the moment at 12-under, but he was searching for the eagle and he was going to let Tiger Woods know about it.

“I remember saying to [my caddie], ‘I’m going to point at Tiger if I make this thing,’ and I still to this day can’t believe that putt missed.”

Head over to Harmon’s Instagram to watch the full replay of the chat before it gets deleted.
