Buccaneers tackle Tristan Wirfs stands 6-foot-5, 345-pounds and might be the most athletic offensive lineman of all-time. The 22-year-old from Iowa started all 20 games in 2021 and allowed only one sack en route to a Super Bowl championship.
Everything about his rookie season was impressive, but it’s what he continues to do off of the gridiron that is truly remarkable. He posted a video on Monday from his offseason training and blew minds.
Wearing a weight vest, Wirfs recorded a 48-inch seated box jump— meaning he started from the sitting position, stood up and then used his momentum to elevate to four feet.
To reiterate… this man is 6-foot-5, 345 pounds and wore a weight vest.

This isn’t the first time that Wirfs has turned heads with his workout.
During the 2020 NFL Draft Combine, the Iowa alum ran the fastest 40-yard-dash time for his position at a BLAZING 4.85 seconds.

To put that number in perspective:
Let me put Tristan Wirfs 40 yard dash into perspective.
Wrifs is a 6'5'' OT that weighs 320 lbs. He ran the 40 in 4.85 seconds (2020).
Lil'Jordan Humphrey is a 6'4'' WR that weighs 210 lb. He ran the 40 in 4.75 seconds (2019).

During the Combine, Wirfs jumped higher than most wide receivers and set records in the broad and vertical jumps. He leaped 10-foot-1 and 36.5 inches, respectively.
And he does insane things like this pool jump:

Eyeball emojis everywhere.
Wirfs’ athleticism has turned heads at home and across the NFL. He tagged D.K. Metcalf, who has also laid down some crazy box jumps, in his tweet and the Seattle wide receiver replied.

Wirfs also commanded the attention of fellow 2020 Draft class tackle Mekhi Becton.

Becton, a 6-foot-7, 364-pound tackle for the Jets, is a specimen himself. He was recently named the sixth-best tackle in an ESPN survey of executives, coaches, scouts and players. Wirfs was ranked eighth on the same list. Not bad for two second-year players who do freakish things in their workouts.
