In case you hadn’t heard, Tom Brady has decided to retire after 22 seasons in the NFL. This news has got many football fans emotional, and not all of their emotions are sadness.
Tom Brady spent 20 years playing for the New England Patriots, winning six Super Bowls, and two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, winning another one more.
On Tuesday, Brady expressed his deep gratitude for everything that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ players, coaches and organization did to help him along the way.
He didn’t mention anything about the New England Patriots, the team’s owner Robert Kraft, or the Pats’ long time head coach Bill Belichick.
These snubs made many fans wonder if there is some sort of bad blood between Brady and the Patriots of which they had not been made aware.
Interestingly, the dichotomy between Tom Brady’s feelings about the Buccaneers and his complete lack of acknowledgment of the Patriots is also noticeable in how each organization expressed their tributes to the quarterback.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who only had Brady for two seasons, put together a rather epic tribute video to the GOAT.

The New England Patriots, on the other hand, who have an untold number of potential highlight clips in their library, shared a drawing of TB12 in a duck boat with seven Super Bowl trophies.
It was quite the ride.
Thank you and congratulations, @TomBrady. pic.twitter.com/0gPwUROEkz

The difference between the two tributes, as well as a few other notable things, did not go unnoticed by football fans.
This the best yโall got New England? The Bucs did a whole video montage ๐๐๐๐

For instance, some Buccaneers fans want to know why it appears in the New England drawing that Brady won all seven of his Super Bowls with the Patriots?
yeah u dont get to claim that 7th trophy... doesnt work that way... thats his not yours

Others are naturally questioning why Brady didn’t mention New England in his retirement letter. [UPDATE: He finally said thank you.]

Numerous other reactions to the two tributes were also very interesting, and in many cases, downright hilarious.
Wow Bucs put out a tweet before the Pats lmao ๐ Brady did mention the Bucs in his statement and not the Patriots!

You messed up...he should be wearing a Bucs jersey in the pic, as per his Instagram.

That 7th trophy should be getting towed by a string on a red wagon behind that
