Caitlin Clark’s dad is not a big fan of her daughter complaining to the refs.
On Saturday, March 23, the University of Iowa Hawkeeyes made its 2024 NCAA tournament debut in the first round against the Holy Cross Crusaders, and things got pretty physical.
During the game, one Holy Cross player elbowed Clark in the face.

Despite having a big lead late in the third quarter an angry Clark was seen yelling about the reffing due to Holy Cross’ physical play.
ESPN’s cameras then cut to Clark’s dad, who was filmed telling her to stop complaining.

Despite the physical play, Clark balled out and dominated against her opening-round opponent.

After a slow start — the #1 seed Hawkeyes led by just two points after the 1st quarter — Iowa would go on to beat 16th seed Holy Cross by a score of 91-65. Clark ultimately finished the game with 27 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds.
With their win over Holy Cross, Clark and Iowa have advanced to the 2nd round of the Women’s NCAA Tournament, where they’ll take on the #8 seed University of West Virginia Mountaineers.
While Clark is already considered to be one of, if not the, greatest women’s college basketball player of all time, adding a national championship to her resume would make the argument that she’s the GOAT almost undeniable.
