The new 3×3 Unrivaled women’s basketball league, which some fans believe could one day compete with the WNBA, began earlier this week. But while the league includes several of the sport’s biggest stars, one name that is not included is that of Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark.

Clark reportedly turned down a  $1 million to take part, instead choosing to use the time out to rest and recuperate. She told TIME that she “didn’t rule out doing it in the future, but this year is just not the best for me. It’s going to be good for me to do my own thing and have my own space. I kind of want to just stay out of the spotlight.”

Clark remained true to her word. She didn’t play in Unrivaled. But she also hasn’t been seen playing much (competitive) basketball. Instead, she’s enjoying the offseason by competing in Pro-Am golf tournaments and speaking at events.

Caitlin Clark Teams Up With Taylor Swift To Root On Travis Kelce And Chiefs

On Saturday, Clark continued her exciting offseason when she joined Taylor Swift in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs’ AFC divisional round game against the Houston Texans. The two even exchanged a hug prior to the game.

Clark attended one of Swift’s “Eras Tour” concerts in November at Lucas Oil Stadium. After the event, she had the opportunity to meet Swift, who extended an invitation to a Chiefs game to meet she and boyfriend Travis Kelce.

“Swift gave Clark four bags of Eras Tour merchandise with a note saying Clark was inspiring to watch from afar,” a TIME magazine feature on Clark stated. “She said ‘Trav and I’ were excited to get to a Fever game now that the tour was winding down and invited Clark to attend a Chiefs game with her. “

Talk about a pop culture power duo.
