Former NFL QB Cam Newton isn’t too impressed with some of the QB play from some of the top QBs in the game.
In the latest episode of his podcast “4th and 1 with Cam Newton”, Newton named Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson as game-changing QBs in the NFL and put other top QBs in another category.
According to Newton, MVP candidates Dak Prescott and Brock Purdy are more “game-managers” than “game-changers.”
“Brock, they’re not winning because of him,” said Newton. “He’s not turning the ball over. He’s managing the game. And if we were to put that in its own right, as game managers, Brock Purdy, Tua Tagovailoa, and Jared Goff, and really, Dak Prescott…these are game managers. They’re not difference makers.”
What are your thoughts on Cam Newton’s take of #49ers Brock Purdy being a game-manager? 🤔

During ESPN’s “Get Up” Domonique Foxworth blasted Newton’s take.
“He wants you to download, rate and review. He’s saying some wild stuff so he can get on ‘Get Up.’ So please do that man a favor because that’s absurd. Dak Prescot?! When he said Dak’s name, I was like, ‘he’s telling jokes right now.'”

It seems like Cam has figured out how to put out hot takes that will get people in the media talking, which means he’s going to have a healthy post-NFL career to look forward to.
