As Nebraska continues its quest for a sixth national championship in college volleyball, setter Campbell Flynn is expected to carry the torch for the Cornhuskers as a true freshman. The height difference between she and her teammates is part of what makes sports so fun.
Two ladies separated by nearly 12 inches can be just as important on the same team on the same court!
Flynn, the top-ranked recruit in college volleyball, committed to Nebraska out of Oakland, Michigan. She arrives to Lincoln as the reigning Gatorade National Volleyball Player of the Year.
The Huskers played an exhibition game back in May that served as her first collegiate start. Flynn proved her worth!
Not only can she throw buttery sets that will leave the block completely fooled, she is just as dangerous as a hitter. You never know when she is going to swing away. Good luck trying to get a touch!
As the regular season quickly approaches, fall sport athletes are already back on campus to wrap up their offseason workouts and to begin the preseason practice period. They are also there for media day.
Nebraska recently shot all of its volleyball content, which led to a very funny contrast between teammates.
Campbell Flynn is nearly one full foot taller than defensive specialist Keri Leimbach. Flynn is 6-foot-3. Leimbach is 5-foot-4.
As you can imagine, the former towers over the latter when they are standing next to one another.
Maybe it’s just me but I think this kind of thing is so interesting. Leimbach and Flynn are equally as important to the Cornhuskers as true freshman in the same sport even though they are separated by 11 inches. There are very few instances in life where that would be true outside of sports!
